What's new ?Final Conference - June 11th, 2015 - Germany

Aside from the autonomy range topic, cost and availability of energy storage constitute the essential factors for the success of Electromobility. The battery at the heart of each Electric Vehicle (EV) is key to their breakthrough.
The EU project ABattReLife, born by ten institutions out of three European countries, concentrated on :

  • Costs
  • Recycling
  • Availability
  • 2nd Life

To conclude the Research project, the German Partners –  BMW, DRL, Fraunhofer ISC, TU Freiberg, TU-München… – have presented its outcomes in the frame of a

Final Conference on 11th June 2015 in Würzburg, Germany

The subsequent workshop has seized the contents of the Final Conference and addressed (among others) the topics:

  • Aging mechanisms: Fast charging, temperature, mechanical influences and countermeasures.
  • Opportunities and risks for battery cells after automotive usage: Recycling and second life to the participating experts through an open discussion.

In an interdisciplinary experts’ debate among industrial and scientific representatives, trends, requirements and bottlenecks will be identified and possible solutions explored. Make the most of first-hand knowledge and have your say toward future developments of these technologies and applications.
This workshop is part of a range of trade events dedicated to Electromobility in Bavaria. It was elaborated in close collaboration with the Cluster Automotive and the project management of the Bavaria-Saxony electromobility showcase and is conducted in cooperation with the German partners of the European project: ABattReLife.
