Since its inception, the Pôle Véhicule du Futur has put the vibrancy of the enterprises and research laboratories within its catchment area through its paces, by backing many growth and developmental projects. It has built up a high-profile reputation, injecting real impetus into the Alsace and Franche-Comté regional economies.

The key priorities – innovation, competencies and international networking

The Pôle Véhicule du Futur’s strategic roadmap has reconciled its members’ and partners’ expectations with its generic competitiveness cluster missions to define priority goals:

• Provide the regional pool of stakeholders with a forward-looking vision of technological and market trends.
• Encourage the emergence of innovative joint-venture projects.
• Build strategic partnerships with other national and international clusters.
• Identify the needs for innovation platforms, resource centres… and guide the set-up process.
• Support the creation and development of new activities in the economic area.
• Play a part in raising the economic area’s international profile and highlighting its attractiveness especially as a hotbed of experimentation.
• Through the PerfoEST programme, promote the spread of best practices for industrial excellence to the local pool of enterprises.
